Job Description

STARS ensure the safety and protection of customer's people, property and information always, in a knowledgeable, professional and service-oriented manner, ensuring an unobtrusive and comfortable environment. STARS are the recognised central point of contact for all Front of House operations, delivering a smooth and seamless execution throughout the premises.

How you will make an impact as a Relief Security Officer:

  • Reporting to the onsite Supervisor, the Relief Security Officer will be deployed across a variety of corporate client sites in the London regions.

  • You will play a vital security role in protecting our client's site, property and site assets whilst keeping both employees and visiting customers safe.

  • Respond appropriately to varying and fast changing priorities

  • You will also be required to carry out foot patrols across a large office facility, car parks walking perimeters both internally and externally.

  • Issue visitor/contractor passes

  • Build strong rapport with reoccurring customers (client staff, visitors, contractors, etc.

  • You will always remain alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity.

  • As a Security Officer, you will retain full control of any threatening behaviour until the arrival of the Police or other external agency.

  • Provide timely and accurate information

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed recording and reporting all faults, health and safety hazards.

  • You will operate radios other physical security equipment used on site

  • Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects and vehicles.

  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Branch Management.

Candidate Description

What you will bring to be a Relief Security Officer:

  • Previous experience gained in a Corporate or Retail Security environment is essential.

  • Experienced in Customer Service, Front of House, Concierge, Hosting or Customer facing role ideally within a corporate environment

  • You will hold a current Front Door Supervisor SIA License; CCTV is also desirable.

  • Applicants will possess excellent customer service skills.

  • Applicants will have good communication skills, able to articulate with authority

  • You must be able to remain calm and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times

  • You will have a resilient approach to your guarding duties

  • You will be vigilant and alert, able to use caution and apply an inquisitive mindset to your duties.

  • All applicants must hold a clear 5-year checkable employment history

  • A good level of PC literacy is required, able to use MS Office to a proficient standard.

  • Be sensitive towards and show an understanding of the requirements of people with disabilities or special needs.

  • You will be required to work flexible shift patterns these will include days and nights as well as weekends.

  • This role will split across multiple sites across the London region so will require travel by public transport as well as a car so would suit a driver.
