  • Integrate in programme workstreams to become the key point of contact for the change and release activity, liaising with change approvers, change management, BAU teams and the project team to ensure scheduling and release activity is planned and executed appropriately

  • To manage the Release Plan for the programme, including conducting weekly release meetings with each of the application migration teams to work through the release management activity.

  • To prepare readiness reviews and Go/No Go meetings in conjunction with the project and Service Transition teams, highlighting risks and issues that may impact on scope, schedule and quality.

  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes, to stakeholders.

  • Define, monitor and control production and non-production release standards according to agreed KPIs,

  • Provide continuous monitoring and evaluation of release management adherence and effectiveness across the programme, reporting into the Service Transition Manager and key stakeholders as required.

Candidate Description

We're currently looking for an experienced and passionate Release Manager to come and join our team. In this role you will work within on IT Transformation team on our modernisation project in partnership with Microsoft.,

  • Extensive experience of managing the Release management of highly complex programmes of work

  • Outstanding influencing, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally

  • Experience managing Test, Release and Environments activities within large, complex programmes, ideally on an Azure cloud platform.

  • Fully familiar with industry standard Test, Release and Environments techniques and their application

  • ITIL v3 or v4 foundation or above
