Salary: £21,287 per annum

About you

Do you have experience and/or willingness to work with clients who may demonstrate challenging behaviour? Do you have experience of supporting socially disadvantaged and vulnerable people? Do you have experience of one-to-one working with people with drug or alcohol problems? Do you have the experience and skills in programme delivery in a group setting?

Do you have experience of working in an environment that requires confidentiality?

Do you have strong communication skills? Do you have strong organisational skills?

Do you have commitment to detail, ensuring all work is accurate, concise and understandable? Do you have commitment to the values of Changing Lives? Do you have commitment to equality and diversity?

If so, the Project Worker role may be the role for you.

Changing Lives is a national charity that supports over 17,000 people each year. We are a well-respected, growing organisation dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable people across the UK.

We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.

About the job

To undertake therapeutic group-work, one-to-one sessions and assessments within Oaktrees, a structured 12 step abstinence-based centre which assists individuals to recover from drug and alcohol addiction.
