Job Description

The purpose of this role is to manage the People Advisory Team to ensure the Service Lines and the People Business Partners receive high quality support on People operational, employee relations, and project activity. Key Responsibilities People Management:

  • Direct line management of 8 People Advisors in the UK Advisory People Team (who will also have dotted line management to their respective People Business Partners).

  • Monitor and control workload across the team for both BAU and project activity. Work closely with the People BPs to allocate People Advisors to specific Service Lines as required.

  • Motivate, engage and drive performance across the People Advisory Team.

  • Adequately resource the People Advisory Team, working with Talent Acquisition and the People BPs to recruit People Advisors.

  • Lead a culture of co-operation and teamwork ensuring that the People Advisors are recognised and rewarded as appropriate Operational Activity:

  • Working closely with the People Operations Manager, drive efficient and consistent People processes in the team.

  • In partnership with People Services and Payroll ensure People processes are client-centric, accurate, and deliver an outcome quickly and reliably.

  • Actively promote employee and manager self-service and drive the function's journey to greater shared services. Employee Relations:

  • Lead the Company's ER processes, ensuring they remain current, consistent, and fit for purpose.

  • Ensure ER documentation (policies, process guides, letters, etc) are up to date, accurate and of a high quality.

  • Ensure People Advisors provide high quality ER support to their respective Service Lines and People Business Partners. People Policies:

  • Review, update and maintain People Policies ensuring they meet legislative requirements and are relevant for the current environment.

  • Recommend new People Policies to replace or add to current Policies as and when required. Business Partnering:

  • Potentially provide a full People Business Partnering service to a Service Line (depending on experience).

Candidate Description

  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation

  • Strong employee relations experience

  • Ideally some people management experience

  • Good understanding of HR operational processes

  • Client centric

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach

  • A strong team player and ability to see big picture

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority

  • Experience working within Real Estate/Financial background would be an advantage
