Job Description

  • To be flexible in approach to working patterns and systems.

  • To maintain the standards required as a Mitie Business Services UK employee.

  • Complete all duties in a timely, professional, and polite manner.

  • Take an active part in all staff training and development provided by Mitie, client, or external suppliers.

  • Attend and contribute in team meetings and/or other meetings as requested.

  • Develop, maintain and adhere to all detailed Mitie systems, policies and procedures.

  • Manage where appropriate, sub-contractor and third party suppliers to meet the requirements of the contract

  • Work alongside operational team to deliver a high level of service and provide Manager with regular feedback. This post will involve supporting both our Edinburgh and Glasgow operation. Travel will be required at times to support team and Manager

    Client Management:

  • Build strong relationships with key clients, based upon openness and mutual trust

  • Identify any cost saving opportunities and service delivery innovations

    Staff Management and Development:

  • Manage and motivate teams to ensure that Mitie delivers all contractual requirements to the required standard.

  • Ensure appropriate holiday and sickness operational cover is in place.

  • Hold bi-weekly / monthly team talks with direct reports

  • Prepare training plans to develop people and services.

  • Encourage staff to undertake a pro-active approach to their own development.

  • Ensure staff training is carried out to the highest level.

  • Ensure mandatory training is completed on time by all staff members.,

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;

  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

    Information Security:

  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;

  • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;

  • Report actual and suspected security incidents;

    Note: This job description Is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for this position and the range of duties undertaken.
