This position will augment the FedEx Express International Information Security team by providing architecture expertise in the network security infrastructures, working with network architects to build secure network infrastructure. This position will help grow the footprint of FedEx Express International Information Security in the International region and support business expansion.
Profile: As Security Architect you will provide support to complex IT Strategic Projects. Identify and implement innovative ways to improve network and infrastructure security capabilities. In addition, you will recommend actions to deliver enhancements in service, quality, and efficiency.
The Information Security, Network Security Architect position has the following key responsibilities: Provide security subject matter expertise on network and perimeter security architecture for enterprise-scale projects. Provide guidance, technical assistance & detailed designs to information security engineering & relevant domain architects. Understand current as well as emerging security threats and design security architecture to mitigate threats where possible. Stay up to date of latest information systems and security technologies and integrate into security architecture design when appropriate. Works with other security team members and facilitates the development and maintenance of security roadmap. Assist in the development of policies and procedures which enable best practices in security for the organization. Identify, assess and remediate security architecture gaps across the environment. Skills and Qualification The ideal candidate for this job will have courses and/or relevant work experience in some or all the following technologies or skills
Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) ideally Checkpoint with NGFW, Maestro, VSX, MDS(Provider-1),
Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) ideally McAfee Network Security Platform (IPS) & McAfee Network Security Manager (NSM).
Network Infrastructure, ideally Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco NX-OS, Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, VMware NSX-T, Routing Protocols, NetFlow
Service Provider network concepts e.g. MPLS, Point-to-Point, VRF.
Network Behaviour Monitoring, ideally Cisco Stealthwatch, RSA NetWitness Logs & Packets
Web Security Technologies, ideally McAfee Web Gateway, Cisco Umbrella.
Network Admission Control (NAC) ideally, Cisco ISE, IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS
Industrial Networks/Operational Technologies.
Production of High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) Documentation
Production of Bill of Materials (BoM), including financial analysis
Supporting security reviews or assessments of projects and/or solutions from a network security perspective.
Information security principles/domains such as application security, data loss prevention, penetration testing, perimeter security, network security, endpoint security, identity and access management and web security.
Customer facing support in form of basic up to advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and associated documentation of common issues in the form of Job Aid or SOPs.
Experience or certification in operating system platforms such as Windows and Linux/Unix.
