  • To ensure all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety

  • To undertake electrical\mechanical repairs and maintenance to appropriate IEE and relevant standards as directed

  • Complete Lighting maintenance and repairs together with relamp cycles as required

  • To carry out statutory checks on Emergency Lighting and Portable Appliance tests as required

  • To provide Proactive and Reactive (basic) Fabric & Plumbing tasks as required

  • Proactive communication with customers to foster strong trusting relationships

  • Completion of all necessary administration (this is significant) required within the role,

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;

  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;

  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;

  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

    Information Security:

  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;

  • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;

  • Report actual and suspected security incidents;

Candidate Description

  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent

  • 17th or 18th edition IEE wiring regulations

  • Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment including - Boiler plant, HVAC, pumps, generators, switchgear, wiring & cabling

  • Building services experience is essential

  • Strong Electrical Background

  • Be flexible & carry out duties which are not electrically biased

  • Be pro-active & have the ability to anticipate &/or diagnose & repair faults

  • Have the ability to supervise site contractors

  • Hold a full clean driving license

  • Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres & lift weights of up to 25kg

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety & safe working practices

  • Strong customer care focus

  • Good communication skills

  • Computer Literate

  • Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate & timely manner
