Merlin Aircraft Servicing and Support Equipment.

Working from the RNAS Culdrose site the Merlin Fitter is responsible for first signatory aircraft maintenance and ground support to Merlin HM Mk 2 aircraft. The Fitter (All Trades) will require an understanding of the AESAS regulatory governance applicable in an operational airworthiness environment. The successful post holder is required to hold appropriate professional qualifications and/or relevant experience to support Aircraft Engineering services at RNAS Culdrose in the AESAS Contract and supporting operational deliverables and interfaces in a highly regulated environment. In the execution of their duties to support the Serco OST Team Lead with regards to development of the Fitters Mates and Apprentices within the team.
This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. However, we are a tight knit team who love the work we do.
What you need to do the job
This is an opportunity for someone who has attained formal cross trade training in the Merlin HM Mk.2 aircraft and associated trade systems. Previous experience and a good working knowledge of the following, They must have completed a Maintenance Human Factors Course. It is important to have an understanding of rotary wing military (aviation) procedures. They must have an understanding of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA).
