The Network Security Manager role is leading a team of application support professionals. The team is responsible for the delivery and management of some of BT's most critical systems which underpin BT's networks. From Authentication and IP Address Management to DHCP & DNS across BT's estate., ·Identifies and solves routine problems with components designed, performs deep dive data analysis, potentially introducing new components or features to resolve issues.

·Designs and develops components of smaller and /or less complex projects in partnership with team, ensuring and documenting the quality of delivery.

·Conducts technical peer reviews within the organisation or with suppliers to ensure outputs align to quality standards and customer requirements.

·Contributes technical and analytical knowledge where needed to support managers, principals or technical experts to resolve issues during projects.

·Diagnose and resolve first of type errors with complex/multiple-components or that require cross-team cross-skill working

·Deal with very complex service requests as well as perform complex root cause analysis

·Provide stakeholder communications for major incidents, provide summary of technical updates to CSOC and Senior Management Team

·Implement complex automation and improvement opportunities e.g. new tool deployment, complex scripting/coding

·Shared Responsibility for External Clients or Internal Stakeholder interface

·Ensure operational procedures are maintained and followed as appropriate.

·Repeat Processes (guided by precedence) And Contributes to methodology needs set by unit policies and procedures

·Design and Consult on DHCP, DNS, Portguard, IPAM, AAA and TACACS platforms

·Identifies operational problems by observing and studying system functioning and performance; investigating complaints and suggestions; completing troubleshooting procedures

·Simplify and Improve current operational procedures and practices.

·Provide real time technical support during live production incidents to the operational team members

·To provide analytical and innovative input to projects/operational issues as well as support negotiations

·Provide operational product/service guides and maintain documentation

· Working out of hours to support business needs and protecting service by being part of callout-rota.

You'll have the following skills & experience

Systems thinking - You provide technical expertise to evaluate the impacts and links between structure, people, process and technology. You think through the whole systems context, new perspectives and insight before taking on projects.

Candidate Description

If you've already got people leader experience, can deal with problem solving under pressure and have software scripting skills then this role should be of interest to you scrolling down a bit further., Experience in People Leadership and encouraging culture of high performance and learning.

Strong experience and understanding of Networking protocols (IP/DHCP/DNS) along with Firewall and Data Centre familiarity.

Experience of TACACS/Radius and Authentication incl multi-factor authentication.

Good level of experience developing code for use in automation, reporting, auditing and administration including use in Data analytics

Good understanding of IP Address Management within BT.

Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Virtualisation technologies and common operating systems.

Familiarity with DNS and DHCP platforms, such as Windows (Both AD and non AD) and ISC BIND/DHCP
