Job Description

Job Description

If you love a challenge, have experience leading teams in fast paced operational environments, and have a passion for learning, we want you on our team. As a member of the leadership team in one of our fulfillment centers, your role will be to manage the learning needs of all Amazonians in the building. In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be very close to the action and spending time on the warehouse floor with the teams who make our fulfillment centers great. Amazon has seen rapid growth over the last few years and we plan to keep on growing. This means a lot of new Amazonians to train and coach. A lot of people to help stay curious and keep learning. You will be essential to the growth and success of Amazon and our team members. Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that new starters, and current Amazonians learning new skills, quickly develop the knowledge and ability to settle in and become experts at what they do

  • Lead, manage and coach your team of Trainers to be the best they can be. Understand what motivates your team, support them to develop a career plan and actively support them to achieve it.

  • Take a data driven approach to understanding performance issues. Take action to improve the quality and effectiveness of training and coaching at your site. Build relationships and influence your site leadership team colleagues to address issues that inhibit effective learning.

  • Partner with different stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the quality of training and coaching. Lead projects (with support from your EU colleagues) to continuously improve the design of training materials and coaching interventions.

  • Support the delivery of local and EU wide projects to improve how the site operates. Identify any additional training materials and 'train your Trainers' in new processes/changes to existing processes.

  • Provide a safe learning environment. Partner with Human Resources, Health & Safety and Engineering colleagues to ensure all compliance and safety training is delivered within the agreed timescales.

  • Recruit and train the best 'instructors' from within our Amazon community to deliver training and coaching.

  • Ensure that you deliver the European standard training content.

Candidate Description

· Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university · Proficiency in computer usage, email, MS Office suite · Understanding of fulfillment center processes and flow · Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English · IT literacy - the ability to use common applications and work with data and systems · Strong organizational skills · Be prepared to take ownership and get involved from the very start · Ability to give and receive feedback effectively

· Experience of working in an international large scale distribution, manufacturing or production environment, · Experience of working with lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement tools · Evidence of ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines · Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy · Flexibility · Other European languages are a plus

About our rewards If you thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, you'll meet your match with us, as you will be part of a vibe of constant improvement, where the things you do one moment, you will not necessarily be doing 6 months later. We don't like to sit still, which is why we always treat every day like the first day. A day to make more good things happen for our customers. It's that kind of spirit that drives our success now and keeps us ahead of the competition in the future. And you could be part of it. It's as simple as this: Work Hard. Have Fun. Make History.

Sounds interesting? We look forward to your application and portfolio. Please submit your online application in one document including your CV and covering letter (both written in English, max. 5MB) stating your earliest start date and salary expectations separately in the applicant form.
