This role is a Lead role for the Live Orders area of the Just Eat Takeaway (JET) platform, which sits within the 'Restaurant Pillar' product organisation. Live Orders covers all 'on the shift' processing of orders - everything from Orderpad through to POS integrations. It requires working closely with acquired companies like Flyt and Practi, and creating products for independent marketplace restaurants and the world's biggest brands. In the competitive markets in which we operate, it's essential that the Lead Product Manager has an exciting vision about JET's product suite, and how this can extend beyond the basics we provide today. There is complexity here, because Live Orders teams create products that enhance not only our restaurants' experience of JET, but also our couriers and ultimately our customers too. As a member of the Product discipline, Lead Product Managers share accountability for: Vision: Defining a clear product vision which aligns with our broader business goals, and delivers real user value Strategy: Ensure that the product strategy is clearly articulated, understood and communicated, and that progress towards it is tracked. Prioritisation: Make informed trade-off decisions, ensuring velocity and speed-to-market are optimised while balancing user needs and business priorities. People: Ensure we have the right mix of skills in our teams via recruitment, performance management including coaching and development to ensure we are able to deliver our strategy. In all of this, support our diversity and inclusion values. User Focus: Ensure that the restaurants' needs are at the heart of all our products. Work effectively with all other disciplines and stakeholders required to bring user-centric products to life, delivering value to our restaurants as soon as possible and then iterating. Culture: Lead by example and embody the company's values, + Product strategy for the Live Orders area within the Restaurant pillar. This group will comprise multiple teams, including initiatives that span multiple departments + Working directly with key business stakeholders, and acquired businesses, to identify and analyse opportunities to improve our products in ways that will deliver significant business value + Maintains a longer-term product backlog for the Live Orders space, collating suggestions and initiating research as appropriate. Helps define longer-term initiatives in line with the overall product vision and business objectives. Maintains discovery backlog of possible innovations + Working effectively in an agile environment to deliver product increments and ensure that requirements are met. Measures and monitors product performance after releases. Understands which metrics are really important + Communication and stakeholder management - Communicates with senior stakeholders throughout the product development process and manages expectations. Ensures team members are connected with the right stakeholders and can directly and consistently communicate their progress + Commercial awareness; has a deep understanding of the JUST EAT business model & drivers, as well as similar models/competitors, and can make reasonable hypotheses about the impact product changes may have + Product Chapter - participate in the Product Chapter to help drive best practices across the broader product community + Recruitment; participates in the recruitment within the product discipline + Coaching and mentoring; provides coaching and mentoring to product and senior product managers + Representing Just Eat externally in the wider Product and Tech community and help to position us as a World Class Product Management capability

Candidate Description

  • Lead product for multiple teams and has developed a product vision and strategy which has then been delivered across multiple product roadmaps + Commercial experience, and understanding of the business value of solving our user's problems. + Experience making data-informed decisions, and is comfortable working with data tooling eg Tableau and Google Data Studio + Experience setting clear objectives and key results, and tracking progress against these successfully + Managing and influencing senior stakeholders to board level + Mentoring and coaching direct reports and other colleagues in great product practices + Proven track record of supporting business transformation programmes/change management + Large audience public speaking; structuring complicated communications and seeking feedback to ensure the transfer of knowledge + Working closely with engineering, UX&D, business analysis and delivery teams in fast-paced product-led businesses + Building continuous improvements in to our product management process and successfully sharing improvements with other product managers in the group + Passion and positivity about 'being better' with the ability to create an appetite for continuous improvement across the organisation + Problem-solving ability to take on difficult challenges - loves coming up with new solutions + Comfort with flexibility and changing priorities + A highly collaborative, visible and inclusive approach + Exceptional skill and style in verbal and written communication + An appreciation and ability to interpret data on performance to be able to understand trends and impact on P&L where relevant + Capable of generating energy and enthusiasm amongst others in the completion of shared responsibilities + Highly collaborative with brilliant facilitation skills, able to work through rather than foster politics + Cognitive Ability (not just raw intelligence, the ability to absorb information) + Intellectual humility (someone who, when the facts show they are wrong, can say that) + A kind and honest individual who both welcomes and provides feedback in a way that is constructive and thoughtful
