Mitie has a great opportunity for a Retail Security Officer to join the Total Security Management Team.Retail Security Officers must be available to cover various shift patterns as well as being flexible in their approach to working locations and potential changes to working patterns.u00a0u00a0Main DutiesThe security officer will demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customersTo add a polite greeting and excellent customer service at all timesAs the first point of contact for all customers and clients, the security officer must be geographically aware of their local surroundings.You will be able to protect customers and colleagues from physical and verbal abuse, also deterring violence and public order offences u00a0 u00a0Respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Duty ManagerReporting to the Security Operations Manager u2013 they must record, report and escalate all incidents and arrests using the process/system/technology as required throughout their shift.
The security officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.Able to work on their own initiative.Retail Security experience.Flexible Approach to work to suit the business needs with an ability to work with different teams as requiredExcellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.Capability in the use of technolgyAn ambassador for great customer serviceIt is important the Security Officer is calm under pressure.Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.Frontline Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential, CCTV Licence would be beneficialA Full UK Driving licence would be beneficial
