Job Description

Following a period of continued growth and acquisitions we are looking for a Junior Commercial Manager to identify, nurture, and develop new business development opportunities through new and existing group accounts, including the mobilisation and integration of new business to achieve targets and objectives.

This role is an exciting position that will help shape our landscaping business, working in a passionate, target driven team in the largest, leading FM company in the UK.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced commercially focused environment.

Main Duties:

  • Opportunity identification, proposal preparation and submission.

  • Commercial analytics including pricing models, solution input and sensitivity modelling.

  • Negotiation with the customer to ensure that a fully specified and detailed customer specification is agreed, understood and delivered.

  • Business strategy planning.

  • Provide commercial representation and support.

  • Project management including the mobilisation of contracts and transition planning.

  • Reporting all business development activity.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

  • Carry out such ad hoc duties as reasonably required by the Head of Commercial

Candidate Description

  • Appropriate professional or academic qualification in a relevant subject e.g. business, finance, commercial

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • An analytical mind built on solid numeracy skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships

  • Organisation and planning essential

  • Individual committed to delivering individual and company strategy and targets

  • Quick-thinking and able to operate at pace and under pressure

  • Strong in time management

  • Ability to work on own initiative to a high level of accuracy and to meet deadlines

  • Customer Care - capable of delivering results and meeting customer expectations

  • Ability to generate, develop and present ideas and suggestions for improvements in order to achieve more effective working practises

  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products especially Excel and Word

  • Well presented, professional appearance and attitude with a positive and professional approach
