Job Description

With exciting times come exciting opportunities and we are now in a position, due to internal promotion, to be able to offer an amazing opportunity to join the Finance function as the Head of Commercial Finance in our Retail division on an initial 12 month contract basis., · This role reports to the Director of Commercial Finance and plays a critical role in the Commercial Finance function, supporting our Retail business. The role business partners the Retail Operations and Property Directors and supports the broader UK Executive team.

Candidate Description

· This role currently has two Finance Manager direct reports and proven leadership and people development skills are essential.

· You will have a track record of business partnering senior stakeholders, working alongside them in a challenging & supportive way to ensure performance is understand and analysis is at the heart of decision making.

· Given the transformation nature of the role you will be comfortable creating the 'new', setting up business cases and analysis from scratch and supporting teams on the strategic direction of the business. You will be happy to deal with ambiguity and work within this to provide recommendations.

· To be successful in the role you will have a strong, vibrant personality and really care about the industry.

Skills needed

· You will currently be operating in a Senior Finance role with a Commercial business partnering background.

· Industry experience is helpful but not essential.

· You'll need to be a great communicator, with excellent stakeholder management and be able to manage multiple priorities.

· You will have experience of leading teams.

· You will be a people person who can communicate effectively across all levels

· Proven commercial mindset and problem-solving skills
