The Information Support Assistant (ISA) role is an entry level position within the Defence Academy Information Management structure. Working within the 'iHub' as part of a friendly, motivated, energetic and supportive team the role of the ISA is to undertake information management and information assurance duties, which brings together a unique blend of customer service, information administration, user support and software exploitation, within a varied and agile environment. The 'iHub' is the point of contact for all information management and assurance activities, and the ISA is a key role in this customer support environment, handling first-line requests and ensuring that they are logged, progressed and resolved as quickly as possible in accordance with policies and processes.

Candidate Description

The role comes with its challenges however, you will be joining a supportive team and a friendly working environment., The ideal candidate will be a problem solver, be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, have an above average level of IT literacy, an interest in and aptitude for working with technology, and a desire to learn and develop. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 is desirable. Familiarity with the MOD network (MODNET) is desirable but not essential. The ability to work unsupervised and proactively manage workloads, and be able to cope under pressure with conflicting demands of customer and colleagues
