In Serco Health we are looking for a talented and experienced HSE Manager to provide high quality, competent and specialist Health, Safety & Environmental support to our hard and soft facilities management hospital contracts. Working with our Health and Safety team across the country you will be providing regulatory guidance and functional leadership, supporting us to achieve improvements in HS&E compliance within the North East's largest hospital James Cook University Hospital. Working with the Health HS&E Team, in the role will support the Head of HS&E with implementation of a risk based training schedule and HS&E Management Assurance plan, as well as the deliverance of a the Divisional HS&E Strategy and a robust reporting process that allows predictive assessment of potential health, safety and environmental related failures.
First and foremost, you'll need to demonstrate experience in Health & Safety in large scale environments, ideally within a Healthcare setting but not essential other large environments will be considered. As the HSE Manager you will belong to a related professional organisation; ideally being a graduate or chartered member of IOSH or IEMA and hold a NEBOSH diploma. You will have a good understanding of management systems (i.e. OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001) along with excellent IT skills. The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills that will enable you to influence and communicate at all levels within the organisation, together with experience of delivering training and conducting HS&E audits.
