Job Description

To provide day-to-day HR advice, guidance and support to operational and line management and Payroll, ensuring adherence to all legislation, company policies and procedures and all contractual and relevant Home Office standards and best practice To provide an effective and efficient administration service to the HR department and Dungavel Immigration Removal Centre (IRC)Provide routine advice and support to managers and staff on the effective implementation of company policies, procedures and best practice.Act as a note-taker in formal meetings and hearings (e.g.u00a0 Disciplinary and Grievance matters)Assist with recruitment activities and the preparation of documentation to ensure company standards and best practice procedures are met:u00a0 interview, assessment centre notifications, offer letters and contracts of employmentProvide administrative support to Trainers carrying out a range of training courses including Initial Training Courses (ITCs)Liaise with vetting provider to ensure all employees are adequately security vetted within the required timescales and that revalidation is carried out on time, raising any issues with relevant SMT.Maintain a system for the effective monitoring of sickness absence, ensuring that any identifiable action is reported to the SMTProduce and distribute, as required, documents and information, often of a confidential and sensitive nature, in a timely manner consistent with company standards of efficiency and accuracy.Create and maintain manual and computer records and files such that records are up to date and information can be accessed readily.Administer employee relations issues including acting as note taker, updating logs, ensuring all records are kept as appropriate.Maintain a system for the effective monitoring of all mandatory training needs ensuring that all mandatory training courses are organised in a timely manner so that all employeesu2019 training and data are up to date.Liaise with external training providers in a professional and efficient manner tou00a0 ensure courses are arranged when required.Provide information to payroll, including absence, hours worked, starters and leavers and contractual changes to ensure staff are paid accurately to timescale.
