We are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding Data Centre Solutions business. As a key member of the People team you will actively partner with the Business Unit Directors and their leadership teams, providing advice and delivering value-add interventions in all areas of HR. Designing and delivering a people agenda/strategy that is fit for purpose in order to achieve the BU Business Plans, company objectives and the protection of the company brand, ensuring that the culture and behaviours are continually reinforced and developed and that line managers are fully equipped and up-skilled to meet the HR aspects of their role. Key Responsibilities
Be actively involved in developing current and future business opportunities in DCS and ensure that the Business Units have the skill sets to support new sectors and growth.
Provide support and expertise to the leadership team to deliver effective organisational change using a range of external and internal resources.
Take full ownership of the Business Units Resourcing Plans to acquire the skills and behaviours needed to ensure the division has exceptional staff delivering an exceptional service.
Deliver a talent and succession plan for the Business Units ensuring there is an identifiable talent pool in place and these employees are fully enabled to fulfil roles across the BU's and the wider business.
Own the delivery of initiatives that constantly reinforces the Company's culture and behaviours such as; exceptional journey, induction programmes, exceptional awards, site-based toolbox talks and communication boards.
Lead on communication, improvements to be made and strengths to build on from the outputs of employee engagement activities.
Create a culture of excellence and best practice which is clearly visible through the outputs of the team.
Work with customers to make sure that their culture and the Company's culture are constantly demonstrated by on-site staff to deliver exceptional service.
Ensure that managers have the tools and access to advice needed to effectively manage the performance of their employees.
Take ownership of complex ER cases, trade union discussions and other areas where HR expertise is required to minimise risk to the business.
Act as the employment legal expert and provide timely advice on matters, following-up with managers to make sure their intervention has been successful and to offer any further assistance needed. Escalation point in disputes or formal proceedings, where appropriate
Translate business and HR MI trends to facilitate sound business decisions. Demonstrating positive engagement through HR metrics such as turnover and absence and have plans in place to improve these.
Identify and report on the needs of the business (qualitative and quantitative) considering business growth, attrition and risk.
Own the training of all managers in the Company's HR policies and procedures and use of HR tools so that underperformance is managed quickly and effectively.
Work with Learning and Talent Development to ensure that all employees have access to programmes that build on their current skills, allowing them to fulfil their roles to the best of their ability and to develop in readiness for future roles.
Lead initiatives to improve competence and capability of talent across the organisation, constantly driving up bench strength across the Business Units.
Manage and maintain the key HR projects that are currently underway.
Act as the owner for CSR activity including community, ethical, diversity & equality initiatives. Engaging with clients to understand their CSR requirements and create initiatives that bring these to life locally.
Commercial awareness and business acumen including understanding of commercial and financial metrics.
Experience of working within a matrix organisation, advantageous to demonstrate this in an EMEA environment.
Previous experience of working within a fast paced HR environment.
Proven experience of TUPE strategies is essential.
Solid HR background within an operational HR role, proven experience of ER and practices at HRBP level is essential.
Experience of working with multiple stakeholders across geographies to ensure delivery of people agenda.
Strong employment law/ employee relations background required, with experience and knowledge of working with Unions / Works Councils, across EMEA would be advantageous.
Previous experience of managing restructures highly desirable.
Broad understanding of business and HR frameworks, initiatives and model.
Must be numerate and confident with numerical data.
Good IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Ability to see the bigger picture.
Experience in an M&E, FM or Critical environment would be advantageous.
Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority
