Candidate Description

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who is keen to join our existing team and assist in providing a high quality service to Endoscopy patients, who attend the Unit. The endoscopy unit is JAG (Joint Advisory Group for Endoscopy) and works hard to provide the highest standards of care and patient experience in line with JAG national standards.

The post holder must be able to work a range of shifts. The Endoscopy Unit is presently open Monday to Friday between 0730 & 2100 and one Saturday per month between 8am & 6pm. The post holder will support patients who attend for various endoscopic procedures and following an in-house training and development programme, they will assist the Registered Nurses with the endoscopic procedures and manage a variety of endoscopy equipment pre, during and post procedure. There is a recovery area and discharge lounge where the post holder will support the nursing team in delivering effective care to patients. This will help to ensure that the patients receive a good experience during their visit to the Unit.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential. Previous experience in Endoscopy and/or healthcare would be desirable, although not essential. The candidate will be expected to support staffing at the other endoscopy sites across the Nottingham University Hospitals as per service delivery and clinical competencies.
