We are on the lookout for a highly experienced Head of HSEQ for our buoyant Schools & Universities UK & Ireland sector. Reporting into the Transformation Director with a dotted line into the Regional HSEQ Director, you will be leading the segment for all HSEQ matters. This critical role will see you reporting, coaching, providing direction and robust processes and road maps to facilitate all the segment's activities., Sodexo and our clients are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults within a regulated activity. This role will require applicants to undergo screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and/ or Disclosure Scotland. Main Responsibilities
Cross functional internal & external stakeholder management
Prepare and maintain a health, safety, environmental and risk management improvement plan
Provide planning and technical HSE input to the leadership team
Ensure that requirements of the regional health, safety, environmental and risk management systems are effectively implemented across all operational locations
Risk Champion
Responsible for ensuring sufficient monitoring and self-assessment processes are in place
Ensuring that Regional Food Safety and Allergen management controls are robustly implemented
Accountable for identifying with the Operational teams training needs
Communicate the requirements of the Segment H&S, Environmental, Food Safety and Risk Management programs
Drive and promote a positive safety culture
Prepare SMART HSEQ related objectives for the segment
Responsible for the implementation of the UK/I accident / Incident management processes
Actively monitor claims data for the segment
Responsible to ensuring the timely submission of reports
To work with the Regional Environmental manager to ensure the regional environmental / sustainability plan is driven down into the segment
Lead the segment Business Continuity plan
Attend and hold regular meetings
Candidate Description

Experience in managing health and safety in a multi-site environment
Experience of managing a team, strong leadership skills
Chartered HSEQ professional desired
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
Food safety experience desired
FM experience desired
Environmental management experience desired
Experience in risk management and business continuity planning
Articulate and able to confidently present to all levels of management and colleagues
Effective influencing skills and stakeholder management
Proficient in Microsoft office applications
A team player, self-starter and can-do attitude
Strong time management and organisational skills
