Job Description

Being seen as a leading subject matter expert, the successful candidate will oversee ESG Reporting risk and compliance with disclosure frameworks and contractual obligations by operating within a governance framework. Role Summary:

  • Generation of ESG data sets and supporting methodologies with specific reference to energy, water, waste, social capital, and natural resources

  • Driving forward CBRE GWS EMEA's client facing operational ESG reporting strategy and solutions

  • Defining and management of ESG reporting methodologies working with CBRE colleagues to distribute defined standards ensuring a consistency of representation for all CBRE clients

  • Development of relationships with key suppliers of services and products to establish a ESG data review programme with defined methodologies, and agreed targets

  • Working with colleagues across CBRE who are engaged with contract reporting and data management structures to map dependencies and identify risks and opportunities

  • Use findings from risk and opportunity reviews to generate an ESG development programme with defined responsibilities

  • Working closely with contract teams, clients and Net Zero colleagues to develop net zero transition programmes supporting these programmes with agreed measurements of success, and a risk review identifying data quality challenges

  • Supporting some of the critical ESG-related client reporting and disclosure requirements ensuring there is a governed interpretation of CBRE provided data sets

  • Development of ESG intensity benchmarking and trend analysis solutions providing clients with detailed portfolio insights including data quality gaps

  • Work with CBRE business development and legal teams to review carbon related references within tender documentation to identify risks and provide technical guidance which enable solutions

  • Provide ESG reporting related thought leadership internally and externally by participating in events and generating content for sharing

  • Recruit, and develop additional ESG reporting expertise as required responding to opportunities for growth

  • Support ESG initiatives across the client scope 3 emissions value chain by providing technical guidance on ESG data enabling systemic collaboration which displaces carbon, resource consumption and social risk

  • Prepare and present results of ESG Reporting initiatives to CBRE leadership and to senior clients

  • Engage with colleagues across CBRE to identify opportunities to collaborate and align on ESG reporting, providing support to new initiatives across the enterprise ensuring they are compliant with CBRE ESG reporting governance standards

Candidate Description

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required; Master's degree preferred and equivalent ESG reporting experience with associated training

  • Experience of ESG GHG reporting frameworks, emission indexes and methodologies

  • Experience of ESG Reporting within a commercial environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to internal and external customers. Ability to effectively present information

  • Key focus for this role is to ensure that all FM services are delivered in a confident and efficient manner
