Job Description

Two apprentices are sought to carry out salon duties whilst working towards their Level 2 Hair Professional apprenticeship standard.

Duties will include:

• Meeting and greeting clients

• Providing refreshments

• Answering the telephone

• Booking appointments

• Shampooing

• Observing and assisting stylists

• Attending training sessions

• Keeping the salon clean and tidy

Candidate Description

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage in conversation

• Customer service focused, with excellent people skills and manners

• Ability to listen and follow instructions

• Work collectively as a team as well as using own initiative

• Good time keeping

Personal qualities

You need to have a genuine passion for hairdressing and be committed to learning all about the industry while working towards your level 2 hairdressing diploma.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are:

• Passionate about hairdressing

• Creative

• Willing to learn

• Friendly, No qualifications are necessary although it would be an advantage to have achieved GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English., After completing the level 2 diploma, you may have the opportunity to move onto an advanced apprenticeship in hairdressing.

  This gives you a higher level of hairdressing skills and the opportunity to obtain a level 3 qualification.

  This advanced qualification will give you the opportunity to learn more about creative hairdressing as well as the chance to become involved in hair shows and photoshoots.,

• Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals

• Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

• End-Point Assessment (EPA)

From working with external salons to train their apprentices, to ensuring all Bad Apple staff are trained on the Bad Apple Classics programme, their aim is to continuously push quality training throughout the industry. The Bad Apple Hair art team works together each year to create their own photographic collections which have been widely publicised.

The company is planning future growth and aims to grow into other towns and cities in the Midlands and the UK.
