We are looking to recruit an FM Specialist for Portering and Logistics to support our Health business unit.

Reporting into the Practice Manager, in the role of FM Portering and Logistics Specialist you will be a subject matter expert in the field of Portering and Logistics Services and will have a fundamental role in developing and standardising these services. You will work with internal stakeholders to define, create and implement creative solutions that meet customer and our expectations for technical competency, process innovation, cost savings and quality.

The key purposes for the FM Specialist role include Business Development requiring you to support the company with Bidding, Re-Bids and Benchmarking. Operationally you will work with our NHS contract teams looking at standardisation and Operational Excellence to meet our and customer expectations. The FM Specialist will be expected to innovate and develop new ways of working for our Portering and Logistics services. You will also be asked to train and develop our service teams at hospital sites.

You will also work on mobilisations of new business and alongside delivering internal change.

Candidate Description

First and foremost, you should have previous experience in leading a Portering and Logistics services function in a service provider environment. It would be an advantage to have worked in a similar role in Healthcare/Care settings. In having the core experience, you should have strong knowledge of the Portering and Logistics function within Facilities Management and have a keen eye for improvement.

You should be a change advocate who can see the importance of improving service and how that benefits all parties. There should be strong interpersonal skills as you will be working a variety of people at all levels.

The FM Specialist must be prepared to travel as you will be expected to visit the contracts to work with the service managers and teams. We have sites from Scotland through to Southampton and in between. Meaning you can based from anywhere in the country across the UK.
