We are currently recruiting for an Estates Facilities Deputy Manager for a Government Organisation. The Core day to day duties of the Estates Facilities Deputy Manager will be to: + Act as the primary point of contract for, and liaise with, local customers at numerous properties. + Assist in the Management of staff, contractors and consultants to ensure the provision of high quality and efficient services and its. + Assist in the managing, motivating and empowering a team of well-trained staff. + Carry out staff appraisals, develop and implement Personal Development Plans for team members. + Provide opinions and submissions for Business cases and assist with planning short to long-term Facilities projects. + Prepare and ensure all risk assessments are carried out at number of sites. + Prepare Expenditure Submission Forms/business cases for submission and facilitate projects initiated by other directorates. + Ensure projects managed by Facilities are completed on time, within budget to meet the customers' requirements. The Estates Facilities Deputy Manager will be responsible for: + Providing Hard and Soft FM advice and delivery within their delegated area of responsibility, defined within a Service Delivery Area (SDA). + Stakeholder Engagement, Performance Management, Assurance, Programme Delivery and Issue Resolution across their sites reporting to the Senior Estate Facilities Manager (SEFM). + Technical, financial and commercial approval of Additional Works Services and Soft FM activities acting as or in support of the Service Manager's Representative. + Providing support to the focal point role for any DIO wide queries establishments may have, such as major Projects, Land Management, Utilities etc, and have a duty to ensure that infrastructure related risks and issues on the site are raised to the Head of Establishment and escalated to the SEFM as appropriate. + Actively supporting the SEFMs stakeholder engagement role and both Weekly Meetings and the monthly Site Infrastructure Management Meeting. + Acting as Primary Point of Contact for all allocated AoRs, proactively address all stakeholders (both Internal and External to DIO) concerns & issues, raised formally or informally, risk management.

Candidate Description

  • Active SC Clearance + FM Qualifications + Previous experience in an FM role + Experience of managing hard and soft FM contracts + Experience in Assurance and quality control + Driving license essential with access to own vehicle to enable travel around and between establishments "In applying for this role, you acknowledge the following; this role falls in scope of the Off Payroll Working in the Public Sector legislation. Any rates of payment quoted will reflect the gross rate per day for the assignment, and, will be subject to appropriate taxes and statutory costs. As such the payment to the intermediary and your income resulting from this contract will be different."
