Serco provide back office support services for James Cook University Hospital (JCUH) which include a variety of Soft FM Services including Catering, Housekeeping & Domestics, Ward Hosting and Portering. JCUH is a Total FM Contract so we also provide the Hard FM provision including Electrical and Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance of the hospital estate., We are recruiting for a Building Officer to join our Estates Team at JCUH, having overall responsibility for the management and day to day delivery of strategic planned and reactive maintenance throughout the estate. As part of the management team you will line manage the Building Department Team Leader and Grounds and Gardens Supervisors.,
Act as point of contact for the Trust on all matters associated with Building Fabric/ grounds Maintenance
Undertake key negotiations as required with key stakeholders i.e. Directly Employed resource the Trust, contractors and sub-contractors as required
Consistently delivers measurable objectives and targets, going beyond what is expected
This is demanding role with customer focus being the essence to deliver success so you must have proven operational and project delivery experience within the facilities management service, including pre and post tender work. You must possess well-developed financial and analytical skills and good competency to work with complex data from a variety of sources and produce detailed reports.
As with any role at this level, you will be an effective communicator with excellent customer relationship skills to deliver on accountabilities such as, First and foremost, you will have knowledge of Hard Services PFI contracts, preferably in a hospital setting.
Degree educated or equivalent Hard FM sector experience.
