Job Description

Working within the Serco Armoury team, this role will focus on:

  • The storage, issuing and receipt of weapons to personnel

  • Carrying out routine and independent checks, servicing, maintenance and rectification of small arms and associated ancillary equipment

    The armoury provides this service Monday to Friday, 7.00am - 6.00pm (with shifts covering, early and late starts and an on-call service for other times).

Candidate Description

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Armourer with small Arms Maintenance skills and experience. Having a RAF qualification (Q-W-GDSA) or being able to be trained to an equivalent standard, will be required for this opportunity.

Due to the nature of the site and work carried out, Security Clearance will be required (or must be achievable) and the post holder must also comply with MoD legislation., Serco supports fair access to employment for those with unspent criminal convictions through the 'Ban the Box' pledge (some may be exempt due to the nature of the role and the security clearance required).
