We're currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our London kitchen, to support the Finance Team in the effective running of Accounts Payable as well as assisting the Financial Accountant. What you'd be doing Reporting to the Financial Accountant, your main responsibilities will be around: Accounts Payable To be the process owner for Accounts Payable and have control and ownership of the function Processing of all invoices in a timely manner and ensuring authorisation process is followed Supplier accounts to be periodically reconciled Execution and management of weekly BACs payment and Euro payment process for all invoices and signed off by either the Financial Accountant or Financial Controller Ensure that any new suppliers are trained on Esker (invoice automation system) Processing of staff expenses including checking that expense guidelines are followed Dealing with supplier queries Credit Card expenses administration Cashbook Manage and maintain cashbook Bank reconciliations to be done on a daily basis and signed off by Financial Accountant Other Produce VAT and INTRASTAT returns and submit to HMRC and signed off by Financial Accountant Support annual audit process Support Financial Accountant in collating data for the finance leasing process Support Financial Accountant in producing monthly budget packs. The organisation is expanding and there will be opportunities to be involved in continuous improvement projects such as new purchase order processes, new ERP system and streamlining current processes. Personal development within organisation strongly supported including professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, AAT)
We're looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and analysis. You'll have previous experience in a relevant role ideally dealing with grocery customers. We are looking for someone who has experience within accounts payable and is confident in liaising with customers and suppliers. You'll also be comfortable working in a fast moving and agile environment. Requisite experience and skills for this role are: Attention to detail Strong Excel capability Analytical thinking Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels Ability to work independently, prioritising and organising work load to ensure that key tasks are completed to specified deadlines Ability to identify and articulate procedures to improve and put forward ideas accordingly Curious and willing to learn A team player
