Supervise and manage all site based operatives, overseeing all aspects of their work, to include; carrying out safety inductions; tool box talks; appraisals, annual leave & sickness management, controlling quality of work; ensuring method statement / Risk Assessments, order fulfilment, cleanliness & tidiness; the use of plant and tools, waste reduction; upkeep of plant and facilities; use of personal protection equipment/wear are in place.
Ensure that all works carried out are undertaken within current codes of practice and that works are to the required high standard
Communicate effectively at all times with the client, client's representative, and all persons affected by any works on site
Liaise daily with the sites shift managers and H&S Manager.
Attend and takes notes in weekly meetings providing status updates on PPM and Reactive activities on site along with use of Sub Contractors vs Self Delivery. Manage any subsequent actions and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain accurate and up to date records for site attendance, RAM's, site inductions, permit to work, tool box talks, accidents, goods received, weekly site records, site safety inspections, plant register records, scaffold report records and all staff related forms / administration.
To manage specialist subcontractors visiting site by ensuring RAMS/Permits etc are in place and Client/Mitie policies and procedures are followed
To manage any works (reactive and PPM) that are to be completed by the on site operatives, distribute accordingly using the Mitie CAFM system and ensure timely completion of tasks. Work In Progress to be kept at a minimum.
To manage any works that are to be completed by specialist subcontractors including raising of Purchase Orders, assigning to relevant subcontractors and chasing updates through to completion including updating of Mitie CAFM system. Work In Progress to be kept at a minimum.
Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration to include being on the emergency call out rota.
To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required,
Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
Report actual and suspected security incidents;

A knowledge and previous experience working and managing Engineering Services/Facilities within Distribution Centres/Warehouse is desirable
Computer literate, with experience of working on CAFM systems and ensuring data is timely and accurate
Relevant qualification in Electrical (17th/18th Edition) or Mechanical Engineering is desirable
Knowledge of LOLER regulations.
Knowledge of L8 Water Hygiene regulations.
A knowledge of the hard services and facilities management sectors is essential
