Job Description

The Group Design Studio is a global Centre of Excellence providing Group and local markets with strategic design guidance, with a vision to "design digital experiences our customers love". We strive for experience excellence using the double diamond design methodology & principles. The team collaborates with product, marketing, technology and design to increase value to both our customers and our business.

As a member of the Design Studio team, the Business analyst has the responsibility to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed acceptance criteria and deliverables for the design team. This role will also be responsible for working alongside the Product Owner and Project Manager to manage requirements throughout a project's lifecycle to make sure that its goals are achieved.

You Will:

  • Gather high and low-level requirements and translate them into detailed acceptance criteria and deliverables for the design team

  • Collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders at different levels to write requirements, ensure that expectations are clear and keep relevant parties appraised of new developments

  • Act as the bridge between designers, developers and commercial teams to ensure that requirements are communicated and met

  • Along with the Product Owner, manage requirements throughout a project's lifecycle to make sure that its goals are achieved

  • Help create and track the scope of a project

  • Engage with project team members to support the delivery of digital experiences

  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Product Owners and other Business Analysts

Candidate Description

  • Requirements elicitation using the most appropriate techniques to interpret stakeholder needs and wants (workshops, interviews, document analysis, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to facilitate and lead discussions

  • Ability to document requirements in user stories and epics

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in synthesising requirements from a variety of sources

  • Can constructively challenge and question proposed requirements to help build optimal user experiences

    You must have:

  • Significant experience (5+ years) as a business analyst on eCommerce projects.

  • Strong appreciation of Digital, Product, UX, UI, Research and Service Design disciplines

  • Exceptional communication skills in verbal, written and formal presentation formats

  • Understanding of the design process or experience in interaction design
