The Customer Demand & Transformation Chapter within the VBTS organisation focuses primarily on driving continuous improvement of operational processes, tools and team effectiveness activities supporting the transition to more agile ways of working and improving the overall efficiency of the VBTS organisation. In addition, the team works on new transformation initiatives, supporting the business readiness and adoption of new products and services into the VBTS Chapters.
The Customer Demand & Transformation Chapter will also act as the owner of all types of demand requests into VBTS, whether for customer facing or non-customer facing activity. The VBTS Demand sub-chapter team will ensure that a holistic view of demand is consolidated to enable forecasting of resource requirements and capacity planning activities for short term and longer-term demand. The team supports the VBTS Squads and Chapters by ensuring demand activity is qualified, managed and allocated to the right Squad, looking at the best available resource with the right skills to support the customer demand requirement.
The Demand Manager is responsible to manage demand capture and demand fulfilment within VBTS through the entire demand process from presales through to delivery. This includes ensuring that all demand requirement information is available in VBTS systems and meets expected criteria to progress through the opportunity and delivery lifecycles. The role engages with internal business stakeholders across the Sell, Build and Run domains, as well as supporting VBTS stakeholders such as Tribe Leads, Squad Leads and Chapter Managers. This will include managing regular demand meetings and reviewing demand data to provide data insights to support efficient capacity planning and resource allocation. The role manages the new demand triage process, supporting timely resource allocation within the Squads, and the execution of different demand and presales governance tasks within the demand lifecycle process. The Demand Manager is also responsible for supporting any transformation or continuous improvement work required for the demand process to operate efficiently in a consistent process, providing insight and offering up improvement suggestions.
A good understanding of presales, demand and delivery processes, associated procedures and their importance to the business is therefore crucial, as the role works closely with all VBTS stakeholders. The Demand Manager must be flexible and able to adapt to varying workloads with potential peaks and troughs.

Manage the opportunity demand lifecycle from new intake qualification through to customer delivery, ensuring that all demand is fulfilled by the right team within VBTS
Provide holistic demand requirements into the Chapters, Tribes and Squads including resource recommendations and prioritisation, to ensure that all demand into VBTS can be captured and managed centrally
Provide data analysis, reporting and insights around demand, capacity and resource allocation activities to support VBTS teams including: DB planning, Opportunity performance metrics and bid compliance, Resource allocation, Skills analysis, Squad capacity, Demand trends
Ensure that digital tools are correctly set up to record allocated resource names, forecasted effort and actual utilisation to support demand planning reporting
Provide design thinking into continuous improvement of demand and assurance processes, tools and capabilities
Good understanding of presales, demand and delivery processes ; and VBTS tools
Able to manipulate and analyse data to provide useful insights and reporting
Excellent communications skills and relationship management skills, able to multi-task and prioritise workload

Project Management (PMO), Data Analysis and Business Analysis skills
