Job Description

The SELL Domain Delivery Manager manages and delivers customer-sponsored, cross-functional projects and platforms to agreed time, cost, quality, risk and benefits specifications in support of the Lead to Contract Value Streams. The key responsibility is to ensure that these projects and platforms deliver business benefit through alignment to the Spirit of Vodafone.,

  • Own the end to end delivery across SELL Domain (including critical path, contingencies, scope changes and budget). Some of the system/applications are SalesForce, CPQ, Swift etc.

  • Maintain strong relationships with team members to facilitate effective delivery

  • Track and escalate risks, issues and impediments that may impact Feature outcome delivery, and recommend changes to plan when appropriate to ensure Feature outcomes are delivered

  • Track and report on variance of timescales, budget and work for Features/User Stories

  • Driving improvements in supplier delivery through strong commercial awareness and directive management of suppliers

Candidate Description

  • You will need to understand and manage culturally diverse groups across multiple geographies and time zones including our direct teams in VB as well as our extended teams in _VOIS

  • You will manage an extensive organisation comprised of a mix of permanent employees, contractors, suppliers, and indirect reports leveraged through a matrix organisation.

  • You will need to demonstrate strong influencing skills, be comfortable working with Business Teams and have an adaptive Management style.

  • You will need a Growth Mindset - show an ability to adapt and lead through different challenges and circumstances and bring a fresh and innovative perspective to your day job

    Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in computer science or related field

  • Prince 2 /SAFe RTE qualified or equivalent

  • Minimum ten years' overall IT experience

  • Minimum five years' experience as a scrum master/Delivery Manager, RTE or agile coach,

  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects, ideally with a security focus, on time and to budget whilst managing quality and scope objectives

  • Demonstrative experience of project delivery across agile, waterfall & hybrid delivery methodologies

  • Experience with Agile methodology on large-scale programmes (e.g. SAFe)

  • Experience working within a SAFe environment, preferably in a servant leader role

  • Experience of working with DevOps

  • Ability to maintain project plan & delivery schedules for all new and enhanced capabilities, functionality, products and services

  • PRINCE2, PMP, MAPM, Agile or equivalent qualified

  • Effective communications and stakeholder management experience; both within and outside the project team
