The purpose of the role is to support the Internal Communications team with administration, coordination and communications ensuring that all activity is managed efficiently and enabled to be implemented successfully across Boots UK stores and support office. Working closely with the CSR Communications Manager and IC team to support planning and activity on key projects and channels. Supports the smooth operational running of the team, and champions the team purpose and outputs.,

  • Hands-on administrative and communications role, working closely with all aspects of the team plans and processes

  • SME and Support for key communications channels - Yammer, Intranet, eHuddle - including reporting

  • First point of contact for external and internal stakeholders; positively and quickly respond, managing the generic mailbox

  • Supports Internal Communications Managers on key projects, campaigns and initiatives

  • Liaise and share content with WBA colleagues to ensure proportionate representation of BUK content at group level.

  • Manages team calendar of activity and supports the forward planning of the team incl.budget and team admin

  • Work closely with colleagues, teams and agencies within and outwith the business to deliver creative solutions and compelling content as part of partnership campaigns and activities

  • Embed CSR Communications into the business, inspiring and engaging both colleagues and customers

  • Build, maintain and grow networks across Boots, Opticians, WBA and the wider CSR community to fuel the future of the CSR agenda

  • Ensure all colleagues are aware of the CSR impact of WBA and Boots UK and know how to get involved through effective engagement and communication

Candidate Description

  • Degree level or equivalent education

  • Experience in CSR and internal communications with proven effective delivery - on time and in full

  • Excellent writing and verbal skills, creative use of language, visuals, flair and tone of voice to create compelling content

  • Technically competent with excellent knowledge of digital channels and measurement

  • Resilient and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to deadline

  • Relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills - to work with peers and with senior/external stakeholders

  • Personal Effectiveness - using planning and organisation to yield best results

  • Have personal and inherent passion for CSR and an awareness of the 4 areas of CSR (environment, workplace, community and marketplace)

  • Confident in building and maintaining a stakeholder network

  • Be able to motivate colleagues and work well as part of a cross-functional team

  • Travel will be required for meetings/events etc, flexibility for evening meeting/events attendance and working in stores at least 5 days per year.
