You will be leading our efforts to establish a creative team that will develop video & motion graphics across our Apple Media services (such as Apple Music and Apple TV) across APAC & EMEA. You are both a creative manager and a creative director, passionate about storytelling, with an eye for detail and a blend of creative and technical production skills. Working closely with art directors, project managers, and creative producers, you will design, create and maintain Apple's visual branding for video and motion graphics. This will all be coordinated across a variety of content types, and throughout multiple geos in APAC and EMEA. The role requires this person to manage relationships with a wide spectrum of external vendors and agencies. Your project management practices are proven and effective, demonstrating the ability to maintain the flexibility to work both tactically and strategically when adjustments are required. You need to 'see around the corner' and identify communication, logistical, and scheduling challenges. We are looking for demonstrable experience to reflect where you have worked in partnership with senior creative teams to bring ideas to life. You should have experience being the face of creative production to external vendors and executives alike, with a deep familiarity with content planning and effective resource management. Having knowledge of the impact of production decisions on both creative output and marketing strategy, is critical. You area specialist at managing expectations, with the ability to identify and articulate alternative solutions when changes arise. Responsibilities

  • Produce large-scale original content video & motion graphics campaigns, with a strong emphasis on innovation and design for the content space
  • Create and implement ideas for a variety of platforms and use cases. Rapidly prototype those ideas across myriad Apple devices, experiences, and scenarios
  • Foster relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure that we're delivering against requests while creating an environment that allows for innovation
  • Plan, manage, and execute internal and external workflows, ensuring an effective exchange of information and deliverables
  • Draft clear, concise creative briefs and give effective presentations to various leadership teams
  • Keep up with the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies and resources

Candidate Description

Apple Media Products is looking for a world-class, highly experienced Creative Director- Video & Motion to build and develop a team of video producers, video editors, motion graphics designers, and external vendors & agencies. This is a role for a creative director, communicator and problem solver who wants to have their hands in several things at once; who can deliver end-to-end design across media types, screens, formats and technologies; and who can collaborate well with others. Apple Media Products services the emerging editorial content being created for Apple Music and Apple TV - such as curated music playlists selected by our specialist editors, and radio shows hosted by top-tier personalities. We are in a period of rapid development and it's an extremely exciting time to join this part of the Apple Design Studio! This is an opportunity for the right individual to have a direct impact on a team that will help define the future of Apple's core media products through thoughtful and innovative content initiatives.   • Proven experience acting as a senior-level creative director in a design agency, editorial publication, or internal creative team. Must have a background in video/motion design & production.

  • Experience through a wide variety of productions: Editorial, documentary, motion graphics & social.

  • Have an established network of world-class video production, motion graphics, and animation agency partners and individual artists.

  • Passionate about film, graphic design, typography, photography, animation and illustration.

  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Working knowledge of video editing & motion graphics software.

  • Comprehensive understanding of design and production process, including live action post-production.

  • Clear and concise communicator displaying strong organization, teamwork and leadership skills.

  • A keen ability to create work under minimal supervision, as well as package and present solutions to the wider management team-quickly and beautifully.

  • Understands deliverables across multiple channels and aspect ratios.

  • Ability to navigate competing priorities, allocate resources appropriately, and mitigate associated challenges.

  • Experience of working within a global team, across different time zones and date lines.

  • Demonstrated expertise leading multiple vendor and agency relationships, and defining a partner roster across multiple geos & timezones.

  • Fluency in additional languages will be advantageous,
