The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and overseeing commercial and cost management at mainly portfolio level but also project level when/as required. They will sit within the overall Programme Management team and support the portfolio and projects from a cost perspective. They must try to work with the global counterparts to drive global consistency whilst balancing regional nuances. They will also continually seek ways to improve the account from a cost/commercial perspective. Role Summary:

  • Work with the global counterparts to develop processes and ensure EMEA lens is applied

  • Provide cost management oversight/QA support to key projects as required

  • Review all cost management processes for EMEA and look for simplifications and improvements

  • Prepare annual benchmarking data for EMEA

  • Prepare the EMEA location factors report

  • Work with the team to establish/manage the client's capital plan

  • Work with the team to manage portfolio cash flow forecasting and accruals

  • Be the main point of contact with the client's finance teams to make sure finance processes can be adopted and that all complete as needed

  • Understand the account platforms (salesforce) and support data integrity and improvements

  • Build strong relationships with the account and client team and make good connections with the CBRE platform

  • Contribute to an ongoing Continuous Improvement agenda with ideas and take ownership of implementing process change initiatives

  • Perform additional duties which may be required from time to time as required

Candidate Description

  • Qualified Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) chartered quantity surveyor and/or a minimum 7-10 years of relevant quantity surveying industry experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role for a large global corporate client on (at least) a regional level

  • Demonstrated experience of working at both project and programme level

  • Graduate degree in a sector related subject

  • Professional background within a corporate office environment and involvement on complex corporate projects/portfolios

  • Demonstrable Continual Professional Development

  • Articulate, professional person

  • Excellent client relationship, communication, and facilitation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident and experienced in dealing with people of all levels

  • A team player that interacts effectively with colleagues and clients

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload with an attention to detail and willingness to complete projects

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary
