Job Description

Fantastic opportunities are available for customer focused enthusiastic, resilient and confident female SIA Licensed Security Officers to join our MITIE Total Security Limited team. The requirement for female officers is an occupational requirement due to the nature of the role which will require the searching of all females who enter our clients building.

You will be responsible for various security requirements of the site and maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism., Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) The role is to provide exceptional Customer Service, responsible for supporting and liaising with the client on all of the sites operations 24hrs per day 7 days per week. To provide clear and timely communication to the site Manager's on key issues that affect the business operation and customer service delivery. Ensure that the interests of Customers and visitors are always fully protected and conduct yourself accordingly, as their representative. To deliver exceptional 'Customer Service'

  • Understanding of the emergency procedures for the building.

  • Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to.

  • Provide security escort to all areas of the building as and when required

  • Carry a radio at all times whilst on duty.

  • Have read and understood the assignment instructions.

  • Report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager.

  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.

  • Always have your SIA license with you and displayed.

  • Control all aspects of access and egress to the building.

  • Complete internal and external patrols, specifically reporting all faults and blocked fire exists as a priority.

  • Assist in all types of evacuations and events that may occur at the client site.

  • Respond to emergencies.

  • Report security or safety issues to the site Supervisor.

  • Deal with conflict in an appropriate manner if required.

  • Write up incidents to the standard expected by Management.

  • Carry out ID checks.

  • Carry out searches of areas and persons in accordance with assignment instructions.

  • Be vigilant to the Health and Safety risks, carrying out regular checks.

  • Follow all reasonable requests from the Supervisor or Senior Management

  • To be on post, on time as dictated by duty rota or as instructed by Supervisor or above

  • The Full time security officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.

  • The Full time security officer should be able to work on own initiative.

  • Retail Security experience

  • Flexible Approach to work to suit the business needs.

  • Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.

  • It is important the Security Officer is calm under pressure.

  • Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.

  • Door Supervision or Security Guarding License essential.
