How you will make an impact as a Control Room Operations Manager:
The primary aim of this role will be to provide leadership and management.
The Control Room Operations Manager will be responsible for the management of information and intelligence feeds for crime prevention purposes.
You will process incoming data and create intelligence products for dissemination for various stakeholders and produce regular reports.
You will develop innovative ways to support crime reduction and counter terrorism,malicious intrusion and global travel.
You will be responsible for the collation and dissemination of retail crime analysis and information around known offenders and emerging trends.
You will ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements, responsible for the management, inventory and audit of all equipment and software, ensuring all faults are promptly reported and remedied.
You will nurture a culture based around teamwork, effective communication, professionalism and etiquette..
You will maintain effective oversight of all incidents on-site to ensure they are effectively managed, logged and reviewed.
You will also assist the Security Management Team in developing and sharing of "Best Practice" and use of the "Genetec" system and tools to improve service effectiveness.
Engaging with all levels of management and communicating complex technical issues to a range of audiences.
Proven ability to develop and implement Operational Control Room Systems and Processes across multiple jurisdictions over a large geographical area.
Ensuring adequate and appropriate training, advice and support is provided to make the team successful. This includes ensuring knowledge and use of key systems, tools and policies; undertaking regular appraisals, providing open feedback on progress and career development; and use of disciplinary procedures to address underperformance.
Ensuring all officers are visited at least once a month, proactively monitor performance through one to one's, maintain positive employee relations and ensure coaching, counselling and investigations are implemented in line with company policy and procedure. To ensure the retention of officers with the exception of unavoidable leavers.
To actively encourage staff recognition and staff nominations for awards.
To assist the Protective Services Branch Managers in minimising the Direct and Indirect costs of the Branch.
Working with support staff to ensure rosters / uniforms / holidays / expenses etc are administered correctly.
What you will bring to be a Control Room Operations Manager:
A strong background having worked in control rooms for busy and complex sites (Essential)
You will be highly PC Literate
SIA Licences (SIA & CCTV)
A good practical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations and practice.
Great leadership and people management skills.
You will have previous experience of managing third party supplier relationships
