Job Description

Overall management of the operating regions in respect of the Landscape business, including Grounds maintenance, Winter services and variable works.

  • Lead by example with regards to health and safety, compliance with statutory and contractual legislative requirements

  • Manage specific contracts to ensure that client specifications are met and that financial targets are achieved. This is to be achieved through the proactive management of labour and material resources

  • Ensure service delivery to the client is to the highest standards required and to ensure that financial targets are achieved through the proactive and safe management of staff and resources

  • Carry out a required minimum number of site audits within your region to ensure that service is being delivered to specification and exceeding expectations.

  • Carry out site inspections and produce monthly reports for contracts., reporting on service delivery and highlighting issues on site.

  • Arrange and carry out monthly meetings with clients within your regions and work closely with National Accounts to ensure service delivery across the company's portfolio

  • Highlight local issues to clients with a view to building relationships and securing additional works to meet financial targets

  • Act quickly and effectively with local service issues to ensure contract delivery and service.

  • To manage and ensure delivery of all winter services needs to ensure complete service delivery in regards to gritting and snow clearance.

    Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure all company and client policies and guidelines are adopted and complied with at all times by all staff

  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, on time and distributed accordingly

  • Ensure all relevant Health & Safety training is undertaken as required and that staff are trained for work they are undertaking.

  • Ensure that the clients are provided with the health and safety reports requested in a timely manner

  • Ensure relevant RAMS are in place and valid.

  • Proactive H&S management

    Information Security

  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities

  • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager

  • Report actual and suspected security incidents

Candidate Description

  • Holds relevant professional, technical or management qualifications, and/or has relevant experience

  • Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems

  • Communication and people management skills

  • Proficient in high level use of Microsoft suite of programmes and good overall IT skills

  • Proactive

  • Flexible

  • Enthusiastic

  • Self motivated, able to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively

  • Ability to travel to Mitie office locations when required
