Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist for Young People in the Universal Crisis Team and Enhanced Psychiatric Liaison Team, Would you like to work in a CQC 'Outstanding' rated Mental Health and Learning Disability Trust? The post: This is a newly created and innovative substantive consultant psychiatrist post with the Northumberland & North Tyneside Universal Crisis Team (UCT) and the Psychiatric Liaison Team (PLT) that spans the age range from childhood to 25 year olds. However the emphasis for this post is on reviewing and managing young people under the age of 18 years. The potential candidate will ideally be a CAMHS specialist albeit a WAA psychiatrist who is interested and willing to work across the traditional boundaries between CAMHS and Working Age Adult services (depending on client need) will also be considered particularly if they have CAMHS experience. The post will consist of 3 PAs with the Enhanced Psychiatric Liaison team and 7 PAs with the UCT. The provision of UCTs across the United Kingdom aligns with the NHS Long Term Plan ambitions. Extending access to crisis services across the age spectrum for our populations in Northumberland and North Tyneside also supports the development of suicide prevention initiatives across our region, in keeping with research from the National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Patient Safety.
