Candidate Description

Caledonian Sleeper forms a vital part of Scotland's transport network, regularly moving over 300,000 trips per year with an anticipated increase to 350,000 over 15 years, Caledonian Sleeper manage and operate all aspects of the network with total revenues of c£800m over its 15-year contract term. The contract has a workforce of over 150 employees and together with several key 3rd party suppliers, delivers the end to end Sleeper journey. This role will demand dedication, energy and attention to detail to truly transform and innovate all communication in this dynamic business.

This is an opportunity for someone to have a real positive impact with internal engagement as well as external perception. Working closely to the Senior Management team, the Comms and Engagement Manager will lead the development and implementation of a comms and engagement strategy including both strategic and operational communication bringing a geographically spread team together as one.

What we are looking for

This is an opportunity for someone with a proven track record of making real positive changes within a Communications role. We're looking for a natural communicator who has experience in developing impactful comms in both reactive and proactive settings. Whilst the majority of the role is focused on Internal comms, experience in external comms and public affairs would be advantageous but not essential.

Being creative and a real innovator will be crucial in the success of this role, as this individual will look to bring in new ideas across new channels.
