Job Description

  • To maximize all sales and survey enquiries with equal effort and enthusiasm to win potential business at maximum GP.

  • To generate your own sales enquiries through a structured, efficient and organised method and planning.

  • To undertake sales, CPD and technical presentations to customers and potential customers as required either at their premises or Securitas offices.

  • To observe all health and safety requirements, ensuring that you, and others around you are operating in a safe manner.

  • To always maximise the efficiency and profitability of the department.

  • To ensure company policies and standards are adhered to.

  • To regularly refer to the staff handbook for individual policy information.

  • The company reserves the right to change and/or amend duties and responsibilities in accordance with company policy, pay scale and overall level of responsibility and experience of the employee.

  • You may, from time to time, be required to work away from home for short periods, have early starts and late finishes as / when operationally required

    Sales / Operational:

  • To maximise the profitability of the department, by ensuring a, 'Right First Time' approach, in all aspects of your work, minimising travel time and providing performance feedback to the engineering, technical and admin team.

  • Not allow any job to go ahead without an installation & service contract in place first.

  • To achieve agreed sales targets, whilst maintaining acceptable and pre-agreed levels of gross profit margin for each job.

  • To promote Securitas with particular focus on the Intruder, Fire, CCTV, Access, Integrated Systems, products and maintenance and service contracts.

  • To develop a contact and client base, focusing on repeat and referral business along with upgrade works and new business.

  • To inform your line manager if you discover and identify new products or techniques for use and possible introduction to the company.

Candidate Description

How you will make an impact as a Business Development Manager:

  • Sound understanding of the relevant standards (BS5306:3:8/ 5266/ 5839:1:6/ EN50131/PD6662 etc)

  • Organisational Awareness - Industry, Competitor and Product/Service Knowledge

  • Consulting & Negotiating
