Job Description

Create the process maps across all functions (e.g. Finance, Commercial, Ilog, PM etc.) within DE&S and external to DE&S relating to Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). As an Business Analyst, your main responsibilities would be: + Investigate, analyse and create documentation of GFE business processes, to define requirements for improving processes and systems. + Produce detailed business models and assist in the preparation of business cases to support change and innovation, produce detailed cost and benefit analysis, gain buy-in from stakeholder by testing your assumptions. + Investigate and elicit detailed requirements to inform the development of new or improved business solutions. + Identify new alternative and innovative approaches to performing business activities. + Create and iterate viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the deployment, modification or large-scale change in working practices and creation of any information and communication systems to support the optimal business Target Operating Model (TOM). + Brief stakeholders and colleagues on results and options produced from analysis to ensure full understanding of any findings. + Support the implementation of the chosen solution + Identify better ways of working across DE&S and propose clear substantiated solutions for adoption.

Candidate Description

  • Experience of working as Business Analyst on complex logistics projects within MoD or similar large scale organisation (e.g. supermarket logistics company etc). + Degree or equivalent experience in Business Analysis related area or delivered logistics change. + Internationally recognised Diploma in Business Analysis + Technical function competency framework: + Change and Transformation Expert + Development and Implementation Practitioner + Strategy, Architecture and Solution Design Practitioner + Service Delivery and Operations Supervised Practitioner + Information Assurance Practitioner + Data Literacy Supervised Practitioner
