Build and Release Engineer

Candidate Description

• OS X, iOS, or UNIX development experience.

• Solid Understanding of at least 2 of the following: Python, Perl, Javascript, shell scripting

• UNIX administration and software debugging skills

• Knowledge of automated build systems, source control, and compiler concepts, The GPU Software Engineering team is looking for a detail oriented, energetic problem solver with engineering experience/education, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong work ethic. The candidate must possess the source control, programming, and debugging expertise to tackle a variety of technical build and integration problems, as well as the interpersonal skills to work optimally with non-technical colleagues. Development experience on Mac OS X or Unix is required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Performing daily software builds for Graphics Driver and Tool products Solving and resolving complex software integration issues Working with development teams to configure project code base Developing tools and processes to improve and automate build system workflow Work multi-functionally with development, management, and QA teams across GPUSW Maintaining and integrating automation tools Document any new process or update an existing wiki page Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or related field or Equivalent experience.

  Additional Requirements

• Nice to have:

• Programming knowledge of at least 1 major language: Python, Java, C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, C#

• Familiarity with at least 1 version control systems such as subversion, git, cvs, or perforce.

• Skills in Front-end or Full-stack Web development: REACT, Node JS, Angular, Django, Flask

• Familiarity with Xcode or make configuration

• Database administration - mySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite

• Ability to compile software from source and triage and resolve build issues.

• Experience authoring automation tools

• Proven experience in the software development industry
