As a SOC Optimisation Engineer, you will work closely with our client base to produce optimisation models that will ensure a comfortable environment while reducing energy consumption, you will work pro-actively to maintain energy targets and alert clients of issues that affect performance. Working with the client energy leaders you will help them achieve company wide energy targets through their own initiatives including, Net Carbon Zero, ISO 50001(EnMS) and others.
You will deliver support to end users, ensuring our clients can carry out everyday duties without worrying about their buildings. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user requests. Problem solving and technical investigations using suitable engineering software's. Technical assistance to varied engineering and managerial disciplines including but not limited to: HVAC, Electrical, Fire and Security Engineers, Facilities Managers, IT Specialists and Energy Managers.
Within the role you will responsible for providing technical support to the following groups:

Working hand in hand in to maintain high standards of technical delivery of BMS works within the Connected Workspace division.
Your responsibilities are as follows:
Work alongside other Engineering Operational teams to deliver exceptional service to our customers
Deliver an exceptional level of commitment and professionalism in providing site solutions which are to include Controls Project Commissioning advice, Baseline Strategy Audits, and post project support through the Service Operations Centre
Share support activities across Projects, Energy, Technical Solutions, and Controls Teams. Supporting BAU in the Service Operations Centre
Working in conjunction with and to support the Operations and Regional Managers across the business
Provide resource support where required - either through client requests, engineering team requests, SOC, projects request or internal management requests
Responsibility for ensuring best practice is undertaken during technical reviews, reactive fault resolution, and delivery of BMS works optimisations being conducted by the teams
Manage incoming requests from end users via tele communications, electronic methods of messaging and client FM (work order) system's in a courteous and timely manner meeting stringent KPI's.
Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue.
Accurate recording of works on in-house CRM platforms.
Build rapport and elicit problem details from customers.
Prioritize and schedule problems. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced engineer and actively follow internal processes all the while maintaining ownership and accountability.
Monitor system alerts and respond within provided KPI's.
Diagnose and resolve intermediate to advanced level technical issues using in house tools.
Provide feedback on client operations and system activity to line manager.
Prioritize and schedule Works. Escalate problems (when required) to the appropriately experienced engineer and actively follow internal processes all the while maintaining ownership and accountability.
Support onsite engineers with related technical queries, system repair and updates.
Provide reports to senior team members when required.
Take ownership of your role and responsibilities.,
Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
Report actual and suspected security incidents
Good/Excellent computer literacy including the use of MS products to a good standard
Good Customer Service Skills
Willingness to learn new systems and technologies
Can work to challenging deadlines
Experience in one or more of the following BMS Systems with engineering capability:- + Schneider (Struxureware/Continuum/Sigma) + Siemens (Desigo Insight/CC, BAS etc) + Trend (963, IQVision) + Tridium (AX & N4) + RDM + Distech
HVAC Application knowledge
Controls Application knowledge
Sector specific energy management protocols
Working knowledge of one or all the following would be a distinct advantage:
