As part of an SSD Assure team in a Network Management Centre you'll be looking after multiple networks, providing 24 x 7 operational support to Government customers. You will provide expert technical services focusing on Transmission elements within the SSD network, but also be able to provide support on a broad range of transmission elements as required.
Undertake Assure team maintenance and fault work in accordance with customer service level agreements.
Undertake/provide remote commissioning work on Tx and other equipment deployed on customer and network sites to current specifications.
Deal effectively/efficiently with queries from customers.
Perform regular audits on the networks and systems.
Provide technical support to others in the department and to customers. Make recommendations to SSD management on complex technical matters.
The successful candidate must be willing and eligible to go through DV Clearance, please familiarise yourself with the requirements before applying.,
The ability to maintain Customer confidentiality and to hold Developed Vetting (DV - STRAP) level security clearance.
In depth knowledge of Transmission equipment and networks, DWDM, SDH, PDH, etc, in a telecoms provider environment.
Awareness of configuration of Ciena and Alcatel equipment.
A clear and analytical approach to problem management.
Understanding of ITIL working practices.
