Job Description

The primary role will be to support a Senior Director/Director on behalf of the team's retained clients, examples of current mandates include: Forward funding of various affordable housing schemes located in London, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Leicester and Nottingham amongst others

  • Raising £300m of capital for a Registered Provider and forward funding £250m of affordable

  • Strategic review of a 3,000 unit affordable housing portfolio

  • Formulating and the implementing the affordable housing investment strategy for a pension fund

  • Advising Homes England on its £5.5bn Housing Infrastructure Fund

  • Local Investment Funds such as the Cardiff Capital Region Housing Fund where IA manages and oversees the deployment of capital into housing led projects

Candidate Description

  • Ideally, we are searching for someone with knowledge of affordable housing capital markets. Experience of the below is preferred but not essential if the candidate can demonstrate the right aptitude to develop and learn new skills.

  • Financial viability and financial modelling expertise using Excel (Argus experience may be acceptable) to assess viability, deliverability and funding returns

  • Production of marketing materials including investment memorandums

  • Engaging with developers, registered providers and investors

  • Negotiation of transactions

  • Working with lawyers to complete legal documentation

    Desired background and qualifications:

  • Chartered Surveyor or equivalent
