An exciting opportunity has arrived to join our finance team as a Junior Group Accountant, reporting into the Group Accountant.  The central Finance team, based out of our Waterloo Office is a team of approximately 15 individuals who provide support to the business and process our financial transactions. This role is perfect for someone who is newly/part qualified accountant.



Your responsibilities will include:


Reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts for the Group’s three legal entities, including ensuring that stakeholder meetings are taking place and any outstanding reconciliation items are resolved and cleared in a timely manner.
Participate in the period end process preparing and posting journal entries.
Management of outstanding debtors and creditors in order to follow up and clear down aged items and to ensure a correct closing position.
Assisting in the preparation of audit files and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders during audit.
Supporting the Tax Manager with the VAT return and VAT reporting.
Other Tasks and Duties As Assigned


We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:


Strong Communication Skills both Written/Verbal
Strong attention to detail with an eye to spotting errors
Strong understanding of UK accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Strong Time Management skill and versatile to adapt to ever changing priorities
Self-starter who can work independently
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good knowledge of Netsuite Accounting Software would be preferred but not essential
