We are calling all energetic and enthusiastic school or college leavers looking to enter the workforce to join our rapidly growing Landscaping business. Kickstart your career with a 24-month Apprenticeship on a permanent contract.The successful candidate will undergo a Level 2 apprenticeship scheme in Horticulture and Landscapes over 24 months, with support from a dedicated Skills Coach to ensure you are on track to complete your work-based learning and academic studies. You will also have the opportunity to feedback and tailor the programme further.As part of our Grounds Maintenance team you will be responsible for keeping our customers sites looking great, including the following:Using mechanical lawn mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers and hedge cutters and other tools.Control weeds through careful chemical treatment (when qualified).Use our scheduling and reporting app to record what youu2019ve done.Leave work areas clean, tidy and well maintained.Comply with Health & Safety procedures and instructions.You will provide management with relevant information and reporting as required, including reporting any site issues.As an apprentice, you will spend 20% of your training on learning and developing the required knowledge, skills and behaviours, which will take place out of the workplace and can be in a variety of ways such as; at college, online or face to face training and self-study time.u00a0What you'll get in return:In return we will offer you holiday entitlement, pension contributions, discount through MiDeals to over 850 high street retailers, cycle to work, options to buy extra holiday, save as you earn scheme, share incentive plan, recognition and wellbeing incentives such as Mitie Stars and many other benefits.

Candidate Description

In order to be successful in this role, you must have GCSEs in English and Maths, with good demonstrable interpersonal and communications skills. You should be eager to learn, pro-active and enthusiastic. Due to the role, you will need to be happy to work with mechanical equiptment and hand tools, although no previous experience is required.
