Job Description

As a global company of 50,000+ employees we rely on the support of our IT Services team to help keep the business running smoothly and efficiently. As part of the 'IT Services Workforce Management BAU' team, you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of technical & field support to the applications Customer base.

You will ensure Subject Matter Expert technical support will be provided to assist in delivering services in line with Serco's standard service catalogue and best practice processes to achieve service excellence. You will be responsible for escalation resolution from first and second line operational and project support and ensure on-going improvement in the quality and value add of expert technical support as delivered to all ITS customers.

The ideal applicant will be a confident communicator providing technical information and support and thrives working in a hands on and dynamic environment. You will have good attention to detail, a strong process driven mindset, great interpersonal skills and enjoy finding solutions to issues, adding value to an organisation.

Candidate Description

Firstly, you'll need a strong knowledge and practical expertise across a wide section of IT Infrastructure, Applications and Service technologies. An Understanding of ITSM Principles and demonstrate an operational use. Experience and Understanding of Application Support and diagnosis. Experience of working in an operational team providing application support. Experience of successfully leading technical evaluations, providing expert input and informed experience in the deployment, maintenance and management of technologies. Lastly, you'll need experience of resolving technical issues, acting as 1st and 2nd line support within Service Operations, providing expert input into resolving Incident and Problems, including leading the resolution where there are 3rd parties involved as part of the delivery.
