Job Description

Job Description

  • Position: Analytics Manager - Product
  • Department: Product
  • Reports to: Head of Product Analytics
  • Location: Fleet Place, London

The Opportunity

Just Eat Takeaway.com is looking to hire an Analytics Manager, based in our London office and reporting to the Head of Product Analytics. Our Product Analytics team is very hands-on and strategic, with lots of scope to make a significant impact on thousands of independent restaurants and brands, and influence the takeaway consumption habits of millions of consumers. This is a high profile and exciting role, where your team's analysis and recommendations will directly support product decisions and strategy.

You'll be working across all of our end-user product pillars (Customer, Restaurant, Operations and Courier), leading a team of analysts who enable our stakeholders by ensuring they understand users' behaviours and needs. We are expecting you to be flexible and eventually work on other areas too, particularly cross pillar projects and programmes of work, as you adapt to our dynamic business and its varying analytical needs.

This role involves working with multiple stakeholders across our global product

teams, so the ideal candidate will have exceptional organisation, communication

and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment. We are specifically looking for curious, big-picture thinkers who are also comfortable discussing the details, as well as proactive, eager, self-motivated qualities. You will need to prioritise work across multiple areas and support your team in managing their workload and surfacing insights effectively. This is a people management role so leadership experience is essential, alongside a desire to grow and inspire your direct and surrounding team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: You should contribute to the strong culture of our product analytics community, building a trusting, motivated and successful team
  • Analytics: Your team will work with our product stakeholders to support them in understanding user needs, behaviours and impacts
  • Collaboration: You will work closely with your peers and with teams in other parts of the business to get the most value from our data and ensure we are working towards achieving our vision
  • Metric definition: Working with stakeholders, you will define, measure and own meaningful metrics to be used across the business
  • Reporting and visualisation: Your team's presentation of data will help product teams make the right data-driven decisions, and you will champion self serve tooling allowing them to interpret data quickly, easily and accurately
  • Discovery: Your job doesn't stop after explaining the data; we expect you to provide product opportunities, problems, experiment ideas and recommendations to the business
  • Data standardisation: Collaborating with a number of different teams and guiding your own team, you will work towards achieving our data governance standards
  • Experimentation: Supporting our experimentation team with domain knowledge, you will help embed experimentation into our products

Required skills and experience

Your Profile & Experience

Required:

  • Relevant work experience in an analytical role, ideally within a tech company or consultancy
  • Proactive leadership skills and passion to develop a team
  • Advanced SQL skills essential
  • Data visualisation experience, ideally using Tableau or similar
  • Logical analytical problem solver with great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and engage a range of senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Reasonable statistical literacy
  • BA/BSc degree (ideally engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics or similar)

Desired, but not essential:

  • Experience of working in a technical but commercial (preferably online) environment
  • Experience analysing A/B tests
  • Google BigQuery experience
