Job Description

Job objectives and responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the delivery of all service streams within the scope of the contract

  • To ensure that all personnel under your control work efficiently and maintain required standards

  • To be responsible for staff motivation and discipline and control the allocation of labour to tasks

  • Maximise financial performance to ensure budgets are achieved / exceeded

  • Customer focused and market aware

  • Stakeholder, partner and customer management,

  • To control all service delivery in accordance with the established Business Management System including participation in internal and external audits.

  • Drive a 'service excellence' culture among the operations and support teams. Establish and utilise existing KPI's, bench marks and milestones to measure and demonstrate progress and achievement against plans

  • Ensure that the billing process is carried out in line with MTFM procedures and that appropriate accruals are posted to jobs, and statuses are set to pending closed in order to recognise the relevant revenue and profit.

  • Review the WIP and debt on the portfolio on a regular basis and highlight issues to the team and escalate to Regional Operations Manager where required.

  • Seek out and deliver 'added value' innovative solutions to existing customers and supply chain which enhance customers perception and differentiates us from our competitors.

  • To be responsible for Site Health, Safety and Environmental matters.

  • To ensure Risk Assessments are completed and maintained. Control Measures adopted in compliance with statutory provisions, codes of practice and guidance.

  • Provide technical guidance to the engineers and supervisors as well as the client where required.

  • To ensure Accident Record sheets are completed and incidents reported.

  • To be responsible for Staff Recruitment, Discipline and Grievance Procedures.

  • To liaise with Suppliers and Sub-contractors, to achieve optimum efficiency.

  • To oversee the planned preventative maintenance programme and ensure that SLA's are achieved and PPM tasks are completed on time and within budget.

  • To produce system reports as required for both internal management information and client contract reviews in accordance with the Business Management System and Site Specific requirements.

  • To act as principal managerial point of contact for emergency call-outs including the tasking of standby engineers and attendance on site as required.

  • To prepare quotations for additional works and contract amendments as requested.

  • To manage the Disaster Recovery Plan as applicable.

  • To liaise with the small works operation and oversee projects.

Candidate Description

  • Operational management experience gained within a large integrated FM environment

  • Ability to demonstrate positive customer relationships, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to negotiate complex contracts

  • Business or Technical degree or equivalent

  • Compotent user of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
